ASIA TRIP 2024 – CHINA – JULY 16-19

I didn’t take many photos since I had been sick. When I finally did get out, not much caught my eye. I was again coming back to the problem of familiarity with my surroundings. It may have actually been a combination of things. Besides the familiarity, I also haven’t been as inclined to pick up the camera nearly as much as when I was younger. I hate to think it, but I wonder if I might be losing interest in making photographs.

You can’t tell how hot it was by anything in this photograph. You may think the weather was cool since the woman was wearing long pants and what looks like a sweater, but what looked like a sweater was actually a layer to keep the sun off her skin.

Since we don’t get to see Chinese made cars in the U.S., I’m always fascinated to see what they make. For this particular car it looks like the design team was inspired by Ferrari. The headlights are strongly influenced by the Ferrari 488. The front bumper looks inspired by the Ferrari 360. The rocker panels look like they’re also inspired by the 488. And the roofline from the A-pillars back to the C-pillars also look to be inspired by the 488.

I’m not sure if this was wrapped or if it was the actual paint. Either way that pearl was great.

Some things don’t change. The women’s outdoor exercise group is going strong despite the hot and humid weather.

I’d just missed the shot I wanted just a moment before this one. They were in the process of taking photos for what I assume would be a social media post, possibly for influencing their followers. The outfits completely stood out from everyone else walking around, especially the pink and white Crocs.

I stopped to say hello, but this guy had places to go! Probably to a dog party. Go, Dog. Go!
