ASIA TRIP 2024 – HONG KONG PT.2 – JULY 7
On this day we ended up going to Hong Kong Island for some shopping and to meet up with one of my wife’s friends for lunch. As so many things in Hong Kong become more familiar to me I end up taking less photographs. Even out of the photographs I did take, I feel like a lot are rather mundane. It almost seems that as I get older I become less interested in photography…
Almost every morning I’d see him painting. Neither of us spoke each other’s language so we did the best we speaking our native language and gesturing. At least we both knew how to say hello and good morning to each other.
His progress as I headed out for breakfast.
His progress after I returned from breakfast.
Morning commute.
A small shoe store that wasn’t open yet. Sometimes the names of places make me laugh since people may interpret them differently.
We were inside a building looking for a place to eat and I remember hearing some commotion outside. This is what I saw.
Someone decided to give this electrical box some personality. It made me smile.
I ended up bumping into them on a different street about 30 minutes later. It made me wonder just how long and how far they walk. And do they have bottomless backpacks?
Tourist
Photographer of tourist blocking traffic, of course.
I love that I can still see bamboo scaffolding being used in Hong Kong.
Another photographer. I waned to ask her what she was photographing but I decided not to disturb her.
My wife says that I’m always photographing women. The reality is that I’m photographing people that stand out from the crowd and in most cases it tends to be women. This was not the case.
I wonder what dogs think about city life.
Press Butter Sand?? Oh, and taco sushi on the right. I probably should have tried that.
